After learning how to make a “rough puff pastry”, we decided to experiment.

While these are good the second day, they are best still warm.

Instructions
  1. If using homemade dough, roll to a quarter inch.
  2. Cut dough into just over 2x3 inch squares.
  3. Sandwich chocolate in pastry and seal well.
  4. Place on parchment lined cookie sheet. Cover with plastic wrap.
  5. Place in refrigerator for 30 minutes or longer.
  6. Heat oven to 450 degrees.
  7. Put cold pastries in hot oven.
  8. Bake 10-15 minutes or until golden. Be careful because bottoms burn easily.
  9. Cool slightly before eating.
  10.  If desired, drizzle melted chocolate over top before serving.
