We used regular, uncooked lasagna noodles and this turned out very well.

Instructions
  1. Line a pan with tin foil.
  2. Combine ricotta cheese with cottage cheese.
  3. Add spices and combine well.
  4. Cook hamburger and sausage.
  5. Drain well before seasoning with salt and pepper.
  6. Start with sauce and layer dry noodles, meat, cottage cheese and mozzarella cheese.
  7. Make three layers, ending with mozzarella cheese.
  8. Cover pan with tin foil and freeze.
  9. Defrost in fridge overnight if desired, then set at room temperature while oven preheats.
  10. Add additional sauce to top if desired.
  11. To bake, tent a large piece of tinfoil over top to help it cook uniformly.
  12. Place in 350 degree oven for an hour or until cooked through. (Will depend if frozen or thawed)
