Chocolate Cake

Aunt Bonnie made this cake for Dad McGuire’s birthday in 2011. It is simple, but very good. It also made a great cake for Adrian’s 14th birthday. Serve with ice cream, whipped cream or a glass of milk!

The recipes calls for a 9×13 pan. If you prefer use two round cake pans. Be sure to grease and flour the pans well.

Instructions
  1. Melt chocolate in butter. Cool.
  2. Cream sugar and butter mixture.
  3. Add eggs, vanilla and milk.
  4. Measure flour and sift with salt and baking soda.
  5. Add to chocolate mixture.
  6. Pour over one cup boiling water and mix well.
  7. Pour into a greased and cocoa powdered 9x13 inch pan.
  8. Bake 375 degrees for 22 minutes.
