Ingredients
- 1 c honey or maple syrup
- 1/4 c brown sugar or extra honey
- 3/4 c coconut oil
- 2-4 Tbl Water
- 1 Tbl vanilla
- 6 c rolled oats
- 1-2 c unsweetened coconut flakes
- 1 c sunflower seeds
- 1-2 c walnuts, chopped or pecans
- 1 1/2 Tbl cinnamon
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1/2-1 c dried fruit opt
Servings: quarts
Instructions
- Heat honey with brown sugar and oil until oil is melted.
- Stir in water and vanilla.
- Combine remaining ingredients in large bowl.
- Stir until well mixed and there are no dry patches.
- Dehydrate at 165 degrees overnight or until completely dry.
- Or Using two cookie sheets, spread mixture evenly.
- Bake at 325 for about 20 minutes.
- Stir if needed to keep edges from browning.
- Bake additional 10-15 minutes.
- Allow to cool undisturbed before breaking into chunks.
- Add raisins or other dried fruit at the end.
