Today is National Shortbread Day! This is Megan’s favorite recipe, given to her by Miss Melody, a friend from church.
Ingredients
- 2/3 c butter
- 1/3 c sugar
- 2 c flour
- pinch salt
- 1/3 c dried cranberries may chop up
- 1/2 tsp orange zest
Servings: pieces
Instructions
- Cream butter and sugar together.
- Add flour and salt, then cranberries mixed with orange zest.
- Chill 30-60 minutes.
- Knead and roll out to 1/4 inch thickness and cut out.
- Chill on wax paper sheet 15 minutes.
- Bake at 320 degrees for 10 minutes.
- Dip in powdered sugar glaze and let set.
