A simple way to prepare Brisket.
Ingredients
Meat
- 3 - 4 lb beef brisket
- 1 Tbl olive oil
Rub
- 1 Tbl sugar
- 1 tsp molasses
- 2 tsp paprika powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 3/4 tsp mustard powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
- 1 1/2 cups ketchup
BBQ sauce
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 Tbl molasses
- 2 tsp pepper
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 2 tsp mustard powder
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 Tbl Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 Tbl Worcestershire Sauce

Instructions
- Mix rub ingredients.
- Rub all over brisket.
- (Optional: Make ahead and let sit overnight in fridge)
- Mix BBQ Sauce ingredients in a slow cooker.
- Add the brisket.
- Cook on low for 8 hours to 10 hours or high for 4.5-5 hours
- Remove brisket onto plate and let sit before thinly slicing.
- (Optional) Degrease and pour liquid into saucepan.
- Bring to simmer and reduce until a syrup consistency.
- Use as bbq sauce over brisket or save for other recipe.
- Serve with green salad.
