There are so many uses for hummus! This is just a starting point recipe for reference. Adjust the seasonings, garlic and tahini to your personal taste.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked chickpeas*
- 1/4 cup Water
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 Tbl tahini opt
- 4 cloves garlic or 2 tsp granulated
- 1 tsp sugar opt
- 3/4 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/4 tsp Hungarian paprika
- 1/4 tsp chipotle pepper or cayenne
Servings: cups
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in blender until smooth.
- Add water and/ or lemon juice to thin if desired.
- Adjust seasonings as desired.
- Serve as a dip with pretzels and vegetable sticks.
Recipe Notes
*Use 15 oz canned chickpeas. Strain juice and use in place of water. May need to adjust salt.
