
Instead of buying our normal bagel chips, we attempted to make our own. We made our simple bagel recipe replacing the whole wheat flour with rye flour. We should have added some molasses for color. Then we cut the cooked bagels into thin slices and dehydrated. Easy! The hard part is keeping the kids away from snacking on them.
Ingredients
- 5 rye bagels cut thin
- 1 stick butter
- 2 Tbl balsamic vinegar
- 2 Tbl garlic powder
- 1 Tbl onion powder
- 3/4 tsp seasoned salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper

Instructions
- Melt butter.
- Add vinegar and spices and mix well.
- Add bagel slices.
- Bake in oven at 250 degrees for one hour or until dry.
- We used a dehydrator at 265 for 2 hours.
