The white chocolate chips make these a super sweet cookie, so we reduced the sugar by over a half cup. According to our taste testers, these are the the perfect sweetness.
(Hint: While these are great cookies, Momma prefers with part chocolate chips)
Ingredients
- 1 c sugar scant
- 1 c butter unsalted preferred
- 2 Tbl molasses
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 c unbleached flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 - 1 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 c macadamia nuts roughly chopped
Servings: dozen
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Beat together butter, sugars, molasses, vanilla and egg.
- Add flour, baking soda and salt.
- Mix well.
- Fold in white chocolate chips and nuts.
- Dough will be stiff!
- Drop by teaspoonful on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
- Remove from oven even if cookies look under cooked.
- Place on wire rack to cool immediately.
