A very easy stir fry. Flower, root, stem, or bulb vegetables are best to use as leaf vegetables become soggy when cooked. We recommend broccoli and carrots.
If you can not find store bought, use this Yakisoba sauce recipe.
Ingredients
- 1 lb Soba, wheat or rice based noodles cooked to al dente
- 2 Tbl black sesame seeds
- 2 Tbl olive oil or neutral oil
- 2 cloves garlic finally chopped
- 1 Tbl ginger finely chopped
- 2 tsp Chinese five spice
- 1-3 whole red chilis sometimes called "dried hottest peppers
- 2.5-3 lbs pork cut into bite size strips
- 3/4 c yakisoba sauce
- Vegetables of choice* chopped into bite-sized pieces

Instructions
- In a toaster oven or a dry pan, toast the sesame seeds until fragrant and aromatic
- In a cast iron skillet add the olive oil, garlic, ginger, Chinese five spice, and the red chilis if using.
- Cook over medium heat until the spices are fragrant and aromatic
- Add the pork strips and a 1/4 cup of the yakisoba sauce into the cast iron and heat until the pork is cooked through, stirring occasionally
- Add in the vegetables and toasted sesame seeds (saving a few for topping each bowl) and continue to cook until the vegetables are warmed to your preferred texture
- Stir the remaining 1/2 cup of the yakisoba sauce into the noodles and warm
- Divide up the noodles into bowls add top with pork and cooked vegetables
- Top with a drizzle of infused oil (my personal preference is a spicy oil) and eat with chopsticks
