Ingredients
- 1 c lemon juice
- 1 lemon zest about 1 Tbl
- 1 c sugar
- 3/4 c butter
- 4 eggs
- 4 egg yolks
Servings: tarts
Instructions
- Heat oven to 300 F.
- Bring lemon zest, lemon juice, sugar and butter to a simmer.
- Temper with eggs and yolks.
- Cook on low heat stirring constantly until thickened.
- Pour into baked tart/pie crust and bake till set.
Recipe Notes
This is good for many things other than tarts. Be creative!
