Not sure what to do with a left over ham bone? This is an easy broth to make as a base for many different soups. Adjust ingredients to your liking.
Ingredients
- leftover meaty ham bone
- 2 large onions
- 4 celery stalks
- 2 bay leaves
- 10 pepper pods
- 2 garlic cloves
- 8-10 cups Water

Instructions
- Place all ingredients into a crock pot.
- Simmer on low overnight.
- Strain broth.
- Season as desired.
- Use as stock for bean soup, split pea soup, or just as is.

If you would rather, simmer everything in a stock pot, on low, all day.
