Andrea learned how to make this casserole many years ago with Auntie Kristi.
Ingredients
- 4 - 8 Tbl butter
- 3 c uncooked macaroni
- 12 - 16 oz cheddar cheese shredded, more if desired
- milk or half and half
- Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
- Melt butter in 9 x 13 baking dish.
- Thoroughly mix uncooked macaroni in butter.
- Mix most of the cheese in buttered macaroni, sprinkling the rest on top.
- Pour enough milk to top to cover all cheese and macaroni.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
- Bake, uncovered, at 325 for one hour.
- Check to see if noodles are done to liking.
- Bake additional 15 minutes if needed.
Recipe Notes
Optional: For a crunchy top, in a small bowl, combine 1 1/2 c panko crumbs, 1/2 c Parmesan cheese, 4 Tbl melted butter and 1/4 tsp paprika. Sprinkle over the top before baking.
