Ingredients
Instructions
  1. Combine cream cheese with 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream.
  2. Mix well and set aside.
  3. Combine egg yolks and sugar in top of double broiler, over boiling water.
  4. Reduce heat to low and cook about 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
  5. Remove from heat and whip yolks until thick and lemon colored.
  6. Add cream cheese mixture to whipped yolks.
  7. Beat until combined.
  8. In a separate bowl pour remaining 1 3/4 cup of whipping cream.
  9. With electric mixer on low, start whipping cream, slowly increase speed over 10 minutes until stiff peaks form.
  10. Gently fold whipped cream into yolk mixture and set aside.
  11. Pour liquer into a bowl.
  12. Quickly dunk each lady finger in liquer and line the bottom of glass square pan or a 7 1/2 x 9 1/2 pan.
  13. Spoon half the filling over cookies.
  14. Repeat with remaining lady fingers and filling.
  15. Garnish with chocolate curls if desired.
  16. Refrigerate overnight for best taste.
  17. This freezes well if wrapped with plastic wrap and then tin foil.
Recipe Notes

Instead of cream cheese and 1/4 cup whipping cream mixture, replace with 1 1/4 cups mascarpone cheese.

* Use this recipe for coffee flavored liqueur.
