  1. Cook ground beef until done. Put in crock pot
  2. Fry bacon in skillet until crispy. Strain and add to crock pot.
  3. Use part of bacon grease to fry onions until translucent. Add green peppers just before done. Add to crock pot.
  4. Add pork and beans.
  5. Add salt, pepper, garlic, mustard, catsup, and brown sugar.
  6. Heat on low till warmed through.
  7. Taste and adjust seasonings if needed.
  8. Garnish with green onion if desired.
Recipe Notes

Serve with a salad and garlic bread

Optional: Instead of using the crock pot, simmer in large stock pot until warm. It only takes a few minutes.

Optional: Use half the meat called for if desired.

Optional: Reduce ketchup to 1 1/2 cups, mustard to 1/2 cup, add 1 Tbl molasses and 1 cup granulated sugar.
